I need to get going and clean off the chicken top cover while I still have it but I can’t drive in this mess till I can see. I wouldn’t make it out of the driveway. Certainly wouldn’t make it through the wash. The old snow was getting glassy by yesterday noon, I couldn’t even back the Jeep up to the cabin till I put it back in 4WD. Now there’s at least six inches of new powder, I haven’t measured it yet but it’s a lot.
Standing here with everything but my coat on, I’ll leave as soon as I can see.
Nice and warm inside, though…
Finished sweeping off the Jeep but I’ve decided it isn’t feasible to drive from here. Should have thought to move it nearer the road yesterday afternoon. So I’ll walk: it’s not really very cold but traction is going to be a bitch, plus it seems that for the very first time in my experience here I’ll literally be wading through snow drifts. It was hard enough just trudging around the Jeep. So have mercy on us sinners, and off I go.
You’ve gotten more snow in the last 10 days or so than we’ve gotten all winter. You’d think that central CO at 8500′ in the shadow of Pikes Peak would get more snow than AZ, for Heaven’s sake. Our big 3 day snow “storm” this week had generated a whopping 1/2″. 🙁
Any clean comments about denial of Global Warming?
Get with the times, friend. 😀 it’s Climate Change now. Whether you freeze or burn to death or die in a tornado, it’s your fault for not obeying the Prophet Al Gore and purchasing carbon offsets so he can continue to buy mansions. Only Al Gore mansions could have saved us! But it’s too late to worry now.
