Just shy of eighty bucks. Gas hasn’t been this high since the Obama administration. Of course back then I couldn’t afford to fill 3 and a half gas cans at a go.
The good news (for me) is that, barring an unexpected paying gig, this will last me through May. The bad news is probably whatever gas costs at the end of May.
Good thing you have an electric bike charged by Mr. Sun.
Speaking of electric bikes, don’t park yours with battery pack installed inside your ranch. Don’t know where you store it but best if a place that won’t cause bodily harm if there is a fire. Apparently some brands of e-bikes are bursting into flames spontaneously and you can’t use water to put out a lithium fire.
Be vigilant.
So, store it at Ian’s place? 🙂
My ebike is here in my living room with me.
Terrapod, that’s always been on my mind. I keep the bike in Ian’s place, which is a concrete dome, and well away from the wooden interior walls while charging. Honestly, that battery concerns me.
If you have a choice when time comes to replace the battery, get a lithium iron phosphate chemistry. They don’t catch fire, and they like being 100% charged.
Malatrope: I thought LiFePo4 batteries do best when maintained between 20% and 80% of charge?
