LB does not approve…

Little Bear likes his Lair just the way it is, and rather resents that he doesn’t get a vote about changes.

I’m finally getting busy on the Lair’s floor – after putting it off for years – and poor LB is trying his damndest to remind me of all the reasons I should just keep right on putting it off. There is no non-disruptive way to floor a microcabin while you’re living in it.

You shouldn't ask these questions of a paranoid recluse, you know.

In about three months, you will be happy that you did that. LB will also be more comfortable, but you won’t get the credit.

It has been a while since LB made it through that pet door.

  2. ZtZ says:

Pet door??? Nooooooo…..that’s the rat entrance, so when they get tired of eating the Jeep piece by piece they don’t have to chew holes in the walls and floor to get in to stay warm and to eat and poop in Joel’s food. You can’t see the little rug that says Welcome.

  3. Joel says:

The door only opens one way, Zelda. 😀

I’ve seen squirrels use cat doors quite readily, so after I ran out of cats I set it not to open from the outside. LB likes to rest with his nose outside, so I left him that ability. Any rat that found a way through that door while LB rests inside will get its biggest and last surprise ever.

Years, indeed. I remember going to the big-box hardware store with you and picking out the materials. And I haven’t been around the Lair since 2010!

It’s going to be a great floor, though. And yep, nicely warmer for you this winter. Delighted you’re finally on the project.

  5. Joel says:

What? No! Calumny! Libel! I’ve put off the floor project for years, but not quite that many years.

I think I know what you’re talking about, though. Those backer boards are just like the ones I put up on the bathroom walls…in 2010.

    Sheesh.
