I don’t claim it’s a serious thing, because I don’t know and really doubt it. On the other hand, life in general has increasingly come to resemble parody. And it is an actual thing.

    In Kevlar, perhaps dressed out with a few nylon pockets and some random webbing, this could be the latest fad in tactical field dress.

    Can you imagine the hot, sweaty conditions inside one of those?!

    I actually have some friends that do this version of soccer for fun. They asked me to try it out last fall. My response was to give them “the look,” shake my head in disgust and walk away. They haven’t asked again. When you see things like this and ask yourself the question, the answer is yes we are living in the crazy years as described by RAH.

    Well MJR, here is the only version of soccer that has ever held my interest:

    I suppose you could put a person inside the ball, but I wouldn’t want it to be me.

    There is a company here that rents those things for teenage boys’ birthday parties.

    Much hilarity ensues, and if you make sure everybody stays hydrated, there is little chance of injury, even from quite “spirited” games.
