Liquid refreshment, cactus flower, & misc

I’ve got that gig going up and down the plateau this week, so I had to fill my gas cans. Plus two water bottles and one from Ian’s place, a sack of hen pellets, four of D&L’s water bottles…

Having loaded the Jeep from D&L’s truck, I drove to Landlady’s place to unload the pellets. Happened to look down the slope to the wash and saw a big splash of red…

Yeah, I had to work for this one, too. About halfway down it occurred to me a rope might have been a good idea.

Saw some words of wisdom at the feed store. Kind of reminded me of my indoor-running-water-free winter just past…

I left around eight to go up the plateau to feed T&S’s horse. Went directly to D&L’s hung around for 45 minutes or so while they did horse chores, and then we went to town. Got home to a little dog very much interested in going out to have a pee. We were just making the turn at the end of the driveway, where I currently have the game camera, and he discovered that some loathsome beast had had the temerity to pee in his place! He found this quite outrageous. I turned us around, thinking maybe there was something on the gamecam’s mem card to solve the mystery of the trespassing peestain.

I said “Let’s go this way,” but he must have heard “Let’s go home and get a cookie.”
