That settles it. I’m not voting for Hillary.
Clinton, who argued it was possible to hold her position and still support the right to gun ownership, warned that unfettered access to guns could have dangerous consequences. She called the country’s approach to guns “way out of balance,” and referred to cases in which gun violence has erupted over minor issues.
Though I must confess she did say something with which I agree – the exact words, anyway. I doubt very much we mean the same things by the words.
The proliferation of guns combined with few restrictions on where they can be carried can “give someone the means to respond in the moment in a way that he wouldn’t if a few minutes passed and there was no means to inflict harm…”
Yes. That is the point, Hillary. I applaud your ability to speak it and simultaneously miss it. But I still won’t vote for you.
Eight more years with one of these censorious, self-righteous and utterly wrong-headed creatures cluttering up the news every day with their pronouncements and proclamations? Oh, give me strength.
H/T to Thirdpower.
Gun violence in the U.S. Is a serious problem. But when you look at the data about 78-82% of gun homicides are committed by blacks. About 15-16% are committed by hispanics and about 4-8% are committed by non-blacks and non-hispanics. So the question is: Is it the gun or the individual that is the problem? Ironically almost all gun homicides are committed by people who could not legally purchase or own a gun under existing laws. So clearly more strigent gun laws are intended to restrict the rights of the law abiding and not to prevent gun deaths.
It’s a slippery slope, next thing she’ll be demanding laws to ban the murdering of people.
