Reflections on going to the store in town…

…It’s deeply ironic to me that, having just spent a couple of days working very hard on the chickens’ behalf, for the first time in six months I just bought a dozen eggs. The ladies are molting, you know.

…If you stand in the baking aisle and think, “Good god, I’m down to my last 75 pounds of flour! I should pick up another sack,” you might be a baker.

I’ve only recently gotten my wife talked around to stocking flour by the 25 lb bag, but life is about working towards your goals, right? I finally got my sourdough starter that I always wanted to try- if I’m not careful, I’m going to run out of storage capacity before we get it eaten. Still can’t stand chickens, though. The end of times is ging to have to be a lot closer before I get to that. I am, of course, saving all your posts, to use as a reference.
