But in my world a target that’s both loathsome and easy to hit is going to draw a lot of fire.
Hogg tweeted:
Remeber a time when there wasn’t a school shooting every week? I don’t because I wasn’t alive.
— David Hogg (@davidhogg111) May 27, 2018Kris Paronto, who is a former Army Ranger, slammed Hogg for the tweet:
I remember, it was before your generation started shooting up the schools David, even though we still had guns. Thank you for confirming..again…that it’s not the gun, it’s person, and in particular you & your peers millennial culture. @davidhogg111 #whenhoggsaysstupidshit #2A pic.twitter.com/NPf8Qsoqtt

It’s true, you know. I’m so old I remember Ted Nugent before he’d never done drugs, and in those days we had a lot of unpleasantness in public schools. A lot. But none of it ever involved guns – at least not at the actual schools – even though we had access to guns. Lots more guns, actually, than I imagine the average urban or suburban kid does in the 21st century.
But nobody’s supposed to wonder about that, because…

hmmm, wasn’t the first school shooting at Kent State U. and by the Government?
If the flippin’ media would just ignore him he’d be gone in a week.
Not likely to happen, though. He’s such wonderful clickbait.
FDD, when the government does it it’s called “due process.”
This will be explained to you in detail by the beefy men about to break down your door.
Joel, it maybe so, but they will be very surprised by what is waiting for them
Burn buildings and throw rocks at armed men and you shouldn’t be too surprised when you catch lead in return.

To be fair, the first “school shooting” that I remember predates the Kent State massacre by several years. Look up the University of Texas “tower” shooting of Aug 1, 1966. Can anyone point to an earlier such incident?
jabrwok,
The guard showed no fire disciple. They hit uninvolved students that posed no threat. Sandra Lee Scheuer was killed at 120 meters and Allison B. Krause at 105 meters. Donald Scott MacKenzie was hit 230 meters away. Doubt any of those shot had burned the ROTC building either.
Really piss poor response to the protests. Don’t become what you resist.
Yeah I remember Nugent from before he didn’t use drugs also. Back when he was playing at Junior High school auditoriums and ice skating rinks in Northwest Ohio.
Yeah, I graduated high school in 1981 so I guess thats sorta old. Violence in high school was getting jumped by some cholos at worst. An old fashioned beat down, but that was some bruises, black eyes and that was pretty much it – it never escalated for death.
Now, kids will kill other kids for idiotic reasons. Unfriending entitles them to say OFF WITH HIS HEAD – and do that literally. Swear to God, kids just don’t know how to deal with their emotions. Every little glitch is the End of the World !!
Ben 11:51 – I recall the Bath School bombing in 1927 still holds the record for most school deaths – and they never found out who committed it.
The deadliest school shooting in our nations history (also included explosives) happened in something like 1912 or some such. Too lazy to look it up.
