A typical summer day in the desert…

Still, calm, bright, hot…

After all the moisture of the past several days, the forecast called for Monsoon to take a break for a while. Today, at least, the forecast has proven dead right. It’s just after noon and we’re headed for mid-nineties.

I got the porch all painted and back together…

…and now I’m going to go sit on it while it’s shady, and pray for a little breeze.
