Neighbor L thoughtfully delayed Water Day…

…and so today I drove the Jeep to D&L’s place and yoinked out the battery so I could take it to town.

And now that problem has been dealt with, and winter cold won’t kill my aging Jeep battery. Embarrassing, but it only sped up the inevitable.

Yeah, batteries are like that, they die. Then, a ton of money will get you another, gonna die, battery. Hang in there!

Yeah, the Jeep is particularly hard on batteries – or rather I am, because I could extend their lives with regular Battery Minder treatments. The Jeep gets used only a couple of times in an typical week, and only for short trips so it rarely gets a good recharge.

I got 3 Chyneez battery minders. They all died within 3 months. The cheepy Chynnez solar panel charger is also a battery minder and is still alive, YEAY!

In east central Florida, vehicle battery life is normally about 3 years. No matter how well you maintain same.

Ok, I am about to screw myself but…….
The battery in my 2014 Dodge Charger R/T is the no shit original one. The car has just shy of 49K on the ODO and is seldom driven more than down to the local Stop and Rob and home, two mile round trip. I intend to replace the battery on general principles this fall.

    Eric.
