I’ll bet they’re a lot easier to herd that way! Can you imagine the amount of chicken poop when you unwrap them, however???

    Chicken lives matter, too!

Story – We were battering-down-the-hatches as it looked like we were going to be blown away from a tornado. In typical Kansas style; the kids in the crawl space, parents on the porch. My youngest sister started crying about our pets. Dad opened the back door, hollered for the dogs, they came in. It’s a gale outside and she still crying about the chickens. Dad goes out and gets the chickens.

Was chuckling, the chickens tend to self-evacuate at the drop of a hat, wrapped or unwrapped.

Got some video from close family friend in Ft. Lauderdale (house on the river), surge from the river leading to intracostal is washing about 4″ of water on his rear deck, normally the water is about 2 ft below the deckl. House floor (cement) is about 5 inches above deck so he is OK for now, lots of fallen trees and branches.
