Heh.
It rained like six drops here earlier in the afternoon, and now the “dry” riverbed is running harder than it has all year. Has for hours. Good thing I did the chicken chores when I did, because the wash is going crazy.
You never know. Apparently it rained harder elsewhere…
The chance of sudden unexpected inundation would detract from the appeal of desert living, I would think. Particularly so if you could be stuck on one side with dog and home on the other side.
Hopefully Tobie never takes things this far:

Was out doing my usual opening of archery season hunting this past week.
We were tent camping and it rained ten inches during our stay. Needless to say , it was a bit soggy. Stuck a hog , with a pointy stick tho.
Now it looks like a hurricane is coming through our way…
Guess I’m going to be forced to go out and break down the camp set up. Usually leave it set up till January…but wall tents are spendy and not rated for hunerd mile an hour blows heh heh
I’m Not a fan of unexpected events caused by weather in far away places, so I don’t think I’d be good where you are. I guess that for every location plus, there’s a minus.
Do you ever imagine what your last moment might be like?
For example, screaming ‘It’s just like the old gypsy woman said!’ just as a train slams into you, or your wife gets new curtains and you say, ‘Either these curtains go or I do!’ and then having a massive coronary. You know, the usual stuff.
Anyway, this is a great last post for Joel. Kudos, old dude. Kudos.
Is bravokilo insinuating something about Joel’s impending blog disappearance?
🙂 He seems to be predicting my impending death. Guess I’d better clear my search history.
Oh, OK, as long as you keep blogging.
PLEASE do not let Ian come to east central Florida this week!
