The cattle have achieved saturation…

Yeah, early this summer cattle were released at the water tank near the county road.

They’ve been working their way toward the Gulch ever since.

Uncle Joel not happy about this.

Tobie finds it very interesting, though…

About Joel

You shouldn't ask these questions of a paranoid recluse, you know.

Do you think that Tobie has the potential to be another Laddie with the cattle? I seem to recall Laddie was able to discourage their presence…

In spite of your lack of faith…

Sure looks awfully green for high desert. Also, what is range law when it comes to something like allowing your dog to set something like a 200 yard boundary around the lair?

That’s an emotional issue, because the law not only permits but encourages the cattles’ owner to shoot any dog that hassles the cattle, even on its own property. Absolutely the only right property owners have, in connection with free range cattle, is the right to fence them out. But I know a 3-legged dog that got shot while in its own fenced yard. And the dog’s owner had no legal recourse against the shooter at all.
