“There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested,” a psychiatric counselor told me. “We were under orders not to say anything.”
The sources said workers were guarded by a security force from the Baptist Family & Children’s Services, which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp.
The sources say security forces called themselves the “Brown Shirts.”
“It was a very submissive atmosphere,” the counselor said. “Once you stepped onto the grounds, you abided by their laws – the Brown Shirt laws.”
She said the workers were stripped of their cellphones and other communication devices. Anyone caught with a phone was immediately fired.
Sounds like the best possible outcome.
Baptist child care groups now have brown … er, tan-shirted “security” forces?
What next? APCs and MP5? Will they soon be committing puppycide and tasing disabled vets to death along with their governmental counterparts?
This whole story about the immigrant kids and the way their being kept is getting too creepy. Some of what we’re hearing has got to be rumor (e.g. that they’re all being parceled out into the Texas foster-care system over the objections of social workers). But the reasonably verifiable “news” is bad enough on its own.

Sounds like a contraction camp that would be the envy of the British.
Seems the whole Baptist thing was a mistake:
