Maybe they need to start with a larger target…. I mean, they hit it… but it might have been too small to be stable enough. Or something.

Right, keep trying. But I’ll bet those things cost more than a few buck each. sigh

When I first say SpaceX’s plan to recover rocket stages, it seemed so futuristic and so “Buck Rogers” that I temporarily lost faith in them. Now they have my full attention. They just might pull it off! Ever since the beginning of the space age, NASA have been allowing almost every rocket booster to crash land in the water, (the Shuttle is the only exception I can think of.). So we can afford to give SpaceX some slack while they figure out how to do this.

SpaceX is blazin’ trails into new territory. So far their track record for such activity far exceeds that of NASA (and other national governments) back when *they* were doing the same.

Youtube is replete with ‘rocket launch failure’ videos. Most of them didn’t even get off the pad, and here I’m seeing folks raz on SpaceX for not sticking a dynamic landing on a FLOATING pad in the ocean.

    Haterz, the lot of them….
