Ah, the joys of having a home-made, vest-pocket, free sample of an electrical system. In winter, around the solstice, the sun rises late and sets early and is damn stingy with its photons even at noon. You design your solar power system to get you through the winter solstice, not the summer one. And even then you dole out electrons with a small spoon.
But oh, the glorious summer solstice! What a treat! Bedtime, and I flick on my volt meter for a final look at battery condition to find I’ve barely even used up the surface charge. Oh, yeah. Give me the heat if you want, just leave me the summer.
