…of which there is basically none. The wash did go bank-to-bank surprisingly long for so early in the Monsoon, but it didn’t do anything outlandish. Just have to pull new rocks out of my path.
In the wash itself, of course, the main concern is always the rifle range…
…which always comes close but rarely gets its actual feet wet. I note, however, that the paper target backstop is wrecked again. Sigh. I’ll clean it up later.
The 25-yard mark is directly in the path of the flood and I’ve never been able to maintain a shooting line there. Last winter I pounded a stick of rebar deep to support some PVC, and that did last through this first flood, though of course all the rocks marking the actual line are probably a mile downstream. One foolish year I lost some valuable 4X4 trying to make a presentable 25-yard mark. Live and learn.
Checked out J&H’s place and clean out the rodent traps, then boogied to Landlady’s to visit the babies and ladies and catch up with their needs. All’s well. I’m going to town this morning for drinking water and medicinal alcohol, so now I’m gonna have breakfast.
