Came out at first full light to an unusual mess.
Meh. Hardly the first time. It’s supposed to rain most of today, too. So it’ll wash off.
Well he certainly seemed to be enjoying himself. Truth is my heart was in my throat most of the 7-mile drive, but that’s only because it happens so seldom. Sensible people stay home on rainy days, because of exactly this. But everything was fine, really. At no time was the Jeep more than slightly bogged in mud. 20-year-old Joel would have delighted in what happens when you bash a Jeep through a foot of standing water with no real knowledge of the ground condition under the water. 61-year-old Joel was just thinking of how I hadn’t thought this through, and there was no workable Plan B. I’ve become very fond of Plan B, as long as I don’t need to use it.
But everything worked out well in the end. And I’m really surprised at how enthusiastically Ghost took to that dog. Not as surprised by how sincerely Little Bear wanted him dead. An uncastrated male in my yard, pissing on my bushes? Oh, hell no.

Damnation, Uncle Joel, you really HAVE done well! I thought “that can’t possibly be the Lair in the background”. Embiggened the pic, & shit, it is!
You have to move now, Joel. It looks like the sort of place normal, kinda sane people live.
Seriously, looks nice, J.
