Uncle Joel will go old school at need.

Moving gasoline from the town to the Jeep has thoroughly worn Landlady’s old plastic gas jugs all the hell out. Expansion and contraction until they’ve lost all shape and won’t even stand upright anymore, and more than one has burst a seam. One was even eaten by rats, for reasons surpassing my poor understanding.
I’ve wanted to try some old-fashioned steel Jerry cans for some time, and my older brother sent me these. Ain’t they sweet?
I know they’ll be beaten all to hell in a couple of months but right now they’re sans scratch. Landlady came by with Dharma this morning, which got Little Bear all excited, and he was dancing around and around with his cable and I had to hurry out and rescue them. “No! I will apply the first scratch!”
Her timing was impeccable, since I was just dressing to go to town and buy gasoline. 🙂

Yeah, I picked up a couple just like that a couple years ago. They are great….no stupid pushy thing on the nozzle, and it pours very well with the internal vent.
I’m going to buy a couple more as soon as I get back to the store.
actually mine are a tad different, they have a separate nozzle.
Yeah, these come with separate nozzles.
Take a pallet apart and build a wooden box; line it with old rags. That’ll keep them from banging around.
