This is the miserable day the Lord has given us…

Let us rejoice and be glad when it’s gone.

Well, we got a couple of nice days out of that respite, rather than the single one promised. But yesterday evening the weather returned with a vengeful gleam in its evil eye. Cold, wind, rain and wind, with a wind chaser. I’m actually burning fuel for heat this morning – good thing I never put the woodstove things to bed for the season, I knew it was too good to be true.

Good on me also for not abusing my battery privileges over the evening, because that means I’m in pretty good shape for power even if I never see my shadow today – which I don’t expect to. Be that as it may, it means no ‘pooter for me and no blog for you. Have a nicer day than I expect to.

Why, in *my* day, sometimes we didn’t even *get* a day, miserable or not. When we got a miserable day, we were thankful for it! We went outside and enjoyed every bit of the misery, or we simply went without!

We woke up to 5-6″ of snow this morning with the forecast of 12 more hours of snow, expecting up to 17″. March in Colorado. I suppose I could be enjoying how pretty it is, since it’s the weekend with no plans and nowhere I need to go, with no red flag fire warnings and no burn restrictions.

I’d just like to figure out why AZ is getting about 90% more rain that NE Wyoming. grumble, grumble. We have the gray skies and almost constant cloud cover, mind you… just damn little precipitation. Starting to get on my nerves. 🙁

The wind was rattling the ‘Arcadia doors’ (the term for patio doors in Phoenix) last night. Thought I was back in Kansas for a while. No rain though. Have you a good book? A fire, recliner, hot coffee, and a good book would be a good away to spend the day.

  5. MJR says:

It could be worse. In Colorado thee weather prognosticators are calling for four (4) feet of snow.

  6. MamaLiberty says:

I’d love to take it all off your hands, MJR… we didn’t get enough this winter to wet the windshield more than a few times. grumble, grumble…

Hey ML the snow ain’t mine to give, I’m in Ontario and it’s been sunny in the sixties and it looks like the next week is going to be the same, or at least I hope so. It’s finally time to drag out the golf clubs and terrorize the groundskeepers. To that end I have a tee time booked for Wednesday. As for the snow, the guys in Colorado can keep their nasty white winter weather.

That was yesterday here in Colorado. 😉
