I got the whole back fence area cleaned up today, and the area of the former goat pens. Filled the Jeep trailer to overflowing twice, piled a bunch of broken blocks that will be used for fill elsewhere, and spent some time tearing down one small wooden structure. Rotting OSB went into the Dumpster, dimensional lumber came home with me and landed on the to-be-cut woodpile. I’m gonna end up with at least a trailerload of stovewood out of this deal.
I think I’m still on track to finish this business by the end of the week. Or maybe it’s only hope…

The bathtub was for watering the goats?
Yeah, I guess so. It was in the right place. Don’t know how they kept it full with a big hole where the drain used to be, though.
Well – count one up for the glazier – I suppose.
As the Grateful Dead said – “One man gathers what another man spills” – but we are getting down to the fine winnowing at this point – eh?
Picturing little dust devils of chaos bringing down Manna from the heavens into the high desert…
That had to be a fiberglass tub. We have an old fashioned porcelain glazed steel tub (not footed) in our cattle pasture and moving that mother will shoot lightning out of your eye sockets. Lifting it that high – no way Jose !
I think it’s mold-injected plastic, but there could be a fiberglass layer. It’s a really cheap tub. Yeah, I’d never have tried to budge a cast iron tub. I’m nursing my back this week.
PNO: We’re still a few days from the fine winnowing, but there’s definite progress. And yeah, I’m not too proud to take advantage of the broken window fallacy when it falls over in front of me. 🙂
