Via Uncle. My first thought was “The derp, it burns.” But then I thought of situations in California, where I sometimes went without a gun because I feared the cops more than any other possible danger I might encounter, but couldn’t quite bring myself to buy a vestpocket .22 or .25…

A cut-down Glock 17 with a forward-facing mag holder. Some assembly required before use.
Hm. Given how the carry laws have liberalized in the past several years this may be a solution to a no longer existing problem – except in places like California where it would surely be outlawed on the spot. And I have no idea how you’d holster it.
But whatever your opinion this is not full derp. Its utility is at least arguable. This is still full derp.

While not for me the concept looks OK, that is if you practice, practice, practice drawing, loading and firing. As for holsters… I see this as a pocket gun not a holster gun. One could carry this in the inside pocket of a flight jacket for example and it would be fine. The only issue I see is a risk of leaving the mag in the pocket if it hung up while doing a quick draw. To get around this one could simply remove the protruding lip edge from the base of the mag.
Hmmm, there is no actual grip on that gun. How in hell would anyone hold it? Thankfully, I can carry a full sized 9mm AND a spare magazine on my belt with no problems.
No argument about it competing for truly peak derp, but does it really occupy half the available space in the trigger guard? Holding on will be a moot point if you can’t even get your booger hook onto the bang switch in an emergency.
While perhaps not FULL derp it’s certainly SIGNIFICANT derp. I can just imagine trying to get the silly thing out of the holster (?), getting the mag swapped end-for-end and inserted into the gun facing the proper direction, and fumbling for a workable grip while the bad guy closes on you at warp speed.
As Cooper once said of a questionable development, “It’s to SELL, of course.”
Perhaps there was a mis-spelling, and it really is “derp_conceal”.
Yes, this should work! Just nicely beg the evil person to please wait patiently and non-violently whilst you fumble your piece from it’s deep hiding spot and then assemble it for action.
