What a difference an inch of foam makes…

Saturday Landlady came up with a gift, an inch of memory foam cut to the size of a twin mattress.

I got Sister Creaking Springs the way I get everything, somebody else was getting rid of it. It was originally the top mattress on a child’s bunkbed, the sort of thing nobody with any sense spends a lot of money on, and that was a long time ago. You really can, with only a little concentration, detect and identify every spring. Replacing this mattress is actually a major goad toward my springtime plan of building the Lair a bedroom addition. I was so used to it that I didn’t notice until early last month how much it was affecting (that is, preventing) my sleep.

So Landlady brings me this gift of memory foam, which I put on the bed Saturday. Saturday night I determined that it was very comfortable but strange, and so of course I didn’t sleep well. Last night it was still very comfortable and I slept seven hours straight through. So. Yeah. New bedroom, new mattress.

Nice, I hope it lives up to your expectations.

Don’t wait for the new bedroom. Toss that old mattress now and substitute that new air mattress with your layer of foam on top.
