Well, too late now, but you could have done a McGyver – shape a spare steel rebar into an eye that can slip over one of the rebars in the form, fasten the other end to the jeep bumper, disconnect one spark plug wire with the car running – instant concrete settler, pour in the concrete. “concrete settler” had me going “huh?” for a second with a vision of Little House on the Prairie
and a cement Laura Ingalls Wilder. Then I got it; like a paper jogger but for concrete.
I’ve used one – a couple of times, actually. With building requiring big footers, a concrete vibrator is an essential tool.
But with little piers you can do the same thing with a piece of rebar or conduit or whatever.
