Cologne mayor thinks she can stop migrant sex attacks with ‘respect’ wristbands
As many may know, New Year’s Eve 2015 was a disaster for the German city of Cologne. Hundreds of women were sexually assaulted, robbed or raped by large groups of migrant men.
But officials of the city and the police think they have now found a solution. The mayor of Cologne, Henriette Reker, launched a new campaign, focused on respect yesterday. Wristbands with the text will be distributed throughout the city to prevent new sexual assaults and rapes.
Not sure I buy this story, or at least not the linked picture since wouldn’t be the word be rücksicht? Not sure how many nice blonde Cologne ladies read English, never mind how many Muslim rapists.
It’s a fun story, though, and unfortunately – given recent European history – not 100% implausible.
I think Cologne authorities would have better success issuing “Respect” Glocks to the ladies of Germany. Nothing prevents sexual assaults better than several 9mm holes center of mass.
It has been reported by several German news sources as well, so it seems legitimate.
Also, German has the word “Respekt” as equivalent to “respect” and it does have a different connotation than Rücksicht.
But this band is, of course, written in English to better accommodate the migrants, who, as we all know, speak English perfectly (that’s why they have integrated flawlessly and are actually a boon to our society, not a burden).
Writing it in Arabic would have been prejudiced, I guess.
Maybe I can get it as print for my Glock slide, though.
This is just for the media as a feel-good tactic in the hope there will be more tourists and party people out. What they don’t talk about is this New Years Eve there will be a much greater police presence both plain clothes and uniformed then there was New Year’s Eve 2015. This New Year’s Eve the same thing that happened last year at the end of 2016 will happen again, nothing.
Shoot a few migrants in the act should go farther in stopping this behavior. The fact they dont get the crao knock out of them is why is happening.
Making a wristband that delivers a 100,000 volt shock or. 45 cal bullet to the assailant would be a damn sight more effective!
I would think that with Austria being right next door there are better tools for the job at hand.
