I wonder if she knows what she’s getting into? It’ll either be a long, happy life with lots of friends and interesting things to do and smell, or … not.
We’re getting ready to do the kitten thing again. It’s been about a month since the first attempt at a furry little friend for Click, which didn’t go so well. Fortunately we were able to return the hostage to its family before anybody got hurt, and screw the ransom.
This one will be harder to get rid of in an emergency. Landlady’s got a friend who rescued a little female kitten that was mewing in a traffic intersection. Landlady’s friend gave her the kitten, which has a “little eye infection” and is spending the week in the city getting that cleared up because Landlady’s just that cool. If all goes well, she’ll hand the little bundle of joy off to our weekender neighbors S&L in time to make the trip up this weekend. S&L don’t live anywhere near Landlady, but I gather they’ve worked out a mutually acceptable meeting place. All this to deliver a worthless little kitten waif to an even more worthless smelly bearded desert hermit with lots of guns. What could go wrong?
I’m persecuting Landlady for a photo, and will update this post if it arrives today.
UPDATE: Wow, that didn’t take long.
It’s an alien! A really skinny alien. Wait’ll she gets a load of LB. “Take me to your leader! Please! Right frickin’ now!”

Looks evil and tough, just what is needed in a desert cat.
Really? I think it looks scrawny and terrified.
Def has some Siamese in it, which mean it will be a smart one.
Miss Violet
If it lives through scrawny and terrified, it will then be evil and tough.
Toughest cat I ever had fought off coyotes for three days before it was rescued from a palo verde tree by a passing witch and given to my sister.
Now you mention it, that does look like a Siamese skull. My best friend in all the world had a Siamese tom, coolest cat ever.
Agree with the Meezer assessment. If true, expect plenty of attitude and backtalk as she matures.
Nice clean lines and good proportions. Looks like a winner to me. My aunt had Siamese cats and they sure do “talk” a lot… but they were smart. Oh, and they don’t do second fiddle too well, so be prepared for pecking order squabbles as it gets mature. Good luck!
Don’t give her any water after midnight.
….or since she’s half turned- 6PM.
