I’m a poor man and ammo costs money. The sight of a case of rifle ammo makes me positively Scroogelike – If I fire one round, I no longer possess a whole case of ammo.

There’s also the small matter of neighbors, of which the Gulch has acquired a few over the years. When I make noise at Ian’s perfectly good shooting range, I hear about it. Sometimes I hear about it in complaining tones. That has sort of become an excuse not to spend ammo in practice – but one really must practice.
Yesterday I got word that my two closest neighbors are both going to be away this morning. So we’ll be spending some time and ammo at the range today, and my inner Scrooge can stuff it.

Are the complainers the type of folks who might respond to an invitation to participate at the range? Or would that not even be advisable?
Enjoy your range time, you never know when that time will come around again. Every year our freedom shrinks just a little, and soon will come a day where there won’t be room for naughty people like us at all…
Doesn’t Ian have a full-auto gun you could borrow for a minute? Just to give the complainers a point of reference for the future, y’know.
Uh…you could say that’s what started the trouble in the first place.
Oh. They should be used to it by now. {insert impolite suggestion here}
I posted a potential solution under the original video.
Unsolicited, of course.
😉
My neighbors aren’t real far away, but I have yet to get any complaints, even with a large bore weapon.
I’m glad I live where I do – if I want, I can go shooting in the middle of the night and nobody will complain 🙂
Jonathon:
“nobody will complain”
Well, yeah, “a large bore weapon” means they’re frickin’ scared to complain 🙂
