Anybody ever use a smartphone camera lens set?

Landlady came up this weekend with care packages, including an unexpected gift from Big Brother.

It has turned into a busy day but I spent a few minutes on the porch playing with the telephoto lens and it looks like this might be fun. Before this morning I had no idea such a thing existed. Anybody out there have any experience with them?

The wife has one and as you stated it is fun to mess around with…tho the picture quality left a lot to be desired. I haven’t played with it enough to be an authority on its use but it was an interesting toy.

I recently had a skin exam by a dermatologist using a microscope lense attached to a smart phone which allowed her to look at suspect leasions without cutting them off of me first and sending them to a pathologist. I highly recommend dermascopy.

I’ve played with some smart phone lense attachments, they
Can be useful but a dedicated camera is always going to be superior.
