Anyone who considered getting in on Ian’s phenomenal book kickstarter ought to get on it.
Not that it’s ever going to be considered a failure… 😀

He told me privately at the beginning that while the threshold goal was $25,000 he hoped it would hit $60,000 to give the book a good start. It has already surpassed that stretch goal more than ten times, and will pretty clearly do so again before the end.
(sigh) We’ll have to widen the doorway of Ian’s Cave again…

“Not that it’s ever going to be considered a failure… 😀” You can say that again! It’s gone up $3500 just in the few hours since you posted that, and presently stands as the #3 all-time best backed book ever on Kickstarter. This is truly an awe-inspiring accomplishment by Ian and his crew.
He has to make it to $675,614 to smash his way into 2nd-highest-funded publishing project on Kickstarter. Don’t think it will happen in the next 60 hours, but you never know. Tell your friends! Tell your grandparents! Tell your chickens and dogs! Hell, tell your rhododendrons! Gun Jesus needs just a weeny little $20,000 more!
I was curious so I took a look. $874,010 ain’t nothing to sneeze at. Well done Ian! Now, what’s the next project?
What are you looking at? I have him at a shade under 650,000. Good, but not 800+.
Being up here in the Great White North, my version of Kickstarter shows $ in Canadian dollars… :^)
(Blush) I knew that…
Hey, where are you guys finding the list of top publishing kickstarters? My search-fu is not strong.

Ah! Thanks. So he’s in striking distance of #2. Usurping #1 wouldn’t get my bet at this point but I can’t call it impossible.
Next needs to concentrate on English arms of the same period followed by US arms. I’m betting the US arms book would be bigger than the French and British combined as well as a HUUUUGE seller
