Water’s back

I got better than I deserved. Temp’s up around sixty and there’s lots of sun, so around noon-thirty the yard spigot started to gurgle and emit irregular spurts of vile, rust-colored gelatinous liquid. I let it run into the gully’s water channel until it came clear, then let the cabin faucet and toilet gargle and spew out their air.

The actual infrastructure is just fine: As soon as the sun shined the pump started trying to fill the cistern again, and would have tried in vain except this time that fitting down among the trees was the first thing I checked, instead of the last like last year. We need to do something different with that fitting.

Yeah, I’ve been meaning to bring up a frost-proof valve for it.
