Yeah, I know. It’s damned rude to ghost your friends. Sorry. Really.
I got some sort of crud a couple of weeks ago and it took its sweet time getting better. I wasn’t eating, wasn’t drinking, just sat and sweated and read. My appetite still isn’t what it used to be but at least I’m eating actual meals now. Mostly it left me kind of depressed, not getting much done and not really caring about getting much done. Especially it left me in a very – even for me – unsocial place. I have gotten out a bit in the past week but I’m just in a rut. And I completely fell out of the habit of checking in here, and can’t honestly say it preyed on my conscience much. I am, after all, a hermit at the best of times.
I’ve got some pics of what little is going on, and I promise I’ll get back to it. Just checking in to say I’m alive and if not entirely well, at least not rotting on a hillside somewhere.

Thumbs up.
So glad to hear from you.
Eric.
Glad you’re back. Take it easy on the recovery.
Stuff happens. People were gettin’ concerned. I’m glad ur upright. Carry on.
Really good to see you stirring. For a hermit in the outback, you have a lot of folks who worry about you. Probably went pretty hard on Toby as well. Best wishes
Eric. You’re a superstar and Joel what can I send you
Good to know you getting better.
It’s easy to get a bit down when fighting a debilitating bug, but that will pass. (Ask me how I know that).
Glad to hear that you did not become food for Tobie during your absence!
Happy to hear of your alivitude- here’s to a quick recovery!
Seems a lot of people are either dropping below the surface or going pro during this “weird” time of change.
Anybody else notice mosquitos have been unusually quiet so far? The deer flies are atrocious, but not many mosquitos and I live in a giant swamp (Tamarack Lowlands) with above-average rain this year…
Excellent news!
Don’t worry about not caring about doing anything, it happens to the best of us. More the older I get, it seems.
I’m glad to see that you are still alive and kicking. It’s good to see you back, even if you are still a little under the weather. Get better soon.
Glad you’re not dead. It did cross my mind. It’s easy for something to happen and if there ain’t nobody around… Well Tobie doesn’t have thumbs or vocal cords so he ain’t gonna be much help. But rest, recover and return fire.
Glad to read you are still on this side of the dirt. Bouncing back sure slows down once you get to old fart status.
Glad to hear from you. We had to make sure Tobie was safe you know:)
I was kinda expecting a grisly “died and the dog ate him” story.
Welcome back. We missed you, obviously.
Phew. I’ve been worried.
Always good to have signs of life when it comes from the grand isolation spaces of AZ. Whatever crud you got moved through here in MI about a two months ago, all the foo faw about razor blade throat? Yeah, that came through here long before it was reported and took it’s sweet time in clearing up, well over a week.
Get well, stay hydrated and eat bland stuff until your stomach can handle real protein. Hope Toby gave you extra support, dogs know when the alpha is suffering and get clingy, ours does in buckets.

Jokes aside, glad to hear from you.
Glad you’re still with us.
Glad you’re feeling better, get rested up. Thanks for updating us.
In the words of Steve Martin – Feces occurs.
Glad your are better.
Missed seeing your posts, glad you’re on the mend!
Happy to hear you’re still kicking, Joel
But remember if you die a lot of good people WILL fight to the death over who gets Tobie.
SoCoRuss, I have the fastest car and I know where the lair is. I win!!!
