I just got a kick out of this iconic shot of one of our brave protectors, bravely being protective.
Found here, while surfing around trying to get the latest on the Rambo manhunt. Rambo, alas, turned out to be just some clueless schmo. His planning didn’t seem to go any further than writing that awful “manifesto” in which he bragged of abilities he never once exhibited, then tracking and shooting a couple of innocents to open the show. His tactics, such as they were, were as flawed as his grammar. Where was this mighty, formidable rogue ex-cop we heard so much about? Must have left him home in his other pants.
And so the only instructive part of the tragic Dorner affair is the speed with which every LEO organization in Socal went completely Keystone Kops over the matter.
And that’s something I probably shouldn’t discuss here.
