Oh brave new world that has such people in it!

My god.

New TSA rules on knives draw fire from 9/11 kin

Hamilton Peterson, who lost his father and stepmother on Fight 93, said, “I have enormous respect for the great work of the TSA; however, I am concerned this may undermine overall counterterrorism vigilance and may well prove to be dangerous to future passengers and crew who will inherit the danger resulting from this decision.”

Run! Run! You’re surrounded by people afraid of swiss army knives! Who knows how this contagion is spread?

You know, I have always avoided the word “Sheeple.” It’s offensive to me, it means treating people, individuals, as if they were just … units in a group. Helpless. Contemptible. Commodities that exist to be shorn and eventually consumed. I have always hated that word.

Seems to me that using the word “sheep” for such people is an insufferable insult to poor, dumb animals. They, at least, have every natural excuse…

This whining and puling is even worse when you consider that the knives the TSA is allowing are pathetically tiny things, maybe useful for opening a letter or a package of chips. Your Swiss Army knife would still be confiscated.

    Exactly Claire,

The “Swiss Army Knives” that they are allowing are those tiny things that used to be on the key chain of the uberwealthy. You know the ones Knife blade, nail file/screwdriver and scissors. WITH a tooth pick and tweezers stuck into the slots on the handle. Tiny itty bitty tweezers that are usually the first thing to get lost.
Key Chain Army Knives What an amazingly dangerous weapon to get so flustered over.

You are right ML … this guy positively makes sheep (the ungulates) look like Mensa members.

Every time I see or hear the term “sheeple,” I always think of this xkcd strip.
