LAPD mistook two small latina women in a blue Toyota Tacoma for a damn-near-300-pound black guy in a grey Nissan Titan and emptied several assault magazine clips into the truck and surrounding neighborhood.
Natural mistake. Could happen to anybody. But the cops decided to be cool about it and replace the truck – once it became clear the old woman would survive and probably need one. Hey, it’s not their money. They can just go confiscate more, if they run low.
Well, those ladies won’t be getting their free truck after all. The price was too high, so they said “no thanks.”
Cue the huge lawsuit.
I’m not surprised they’d be expected to pay tax on the “free” truck. Somebody has to pay for all those bullets they were shot with…
