A group of gun sellers and owners sued to block the gun tax, saying it violates the Second Amendment right to bear arms. Circuit Court Judge David Atkins denied a temporary restraining order, saying the lawsuit didn’t show “that this right is threatened by the tax.”
The article list several states with new or proposed taxes on guns and ammo. The laws, and the statements justifying them, are hostile and punitive. “Maybe we can’t take them from you now, but we can make you pay.”
It’s as if they’re trying to drive the whole market underground. Do they have any idea what kind of genie lives in that bottle?
I had to laugh at the photo caption in the linked article. “A Springfield 40mm is shown on a table… “. That’s the kind of math NASA uses.
