HK to US: FU.

Yes, we have had a treaty. But if you want me to cooperate with you as you screw over others, don’t screw me over.

Heh.

The US Government earlier on made a request to the HKSAR Government for the issue of a provisional warrant of arrest against Mr Snowden. Since the documents provided by the US Government did not fully comply with the legal requirements under Hong Kong law, the HKSAR Government has requested the US Government to provide additional information [while Snowden flew away scot-free. Oopsie, butterfingers! Our bad!]

Meanwhile, the HKSAR Government has formally written to the US Government requesting clarification on earlier reports about the hacking of computer systems in Hong Kong by US government agencies. The HKSAR Government will continue to follow up on the matter so as to protect the legal rights of the people of Hong Kong.

This must be that “smart diplomacy” the state department was on about.

One Response to HK to US: FU.

Makes me glad I’m: A) not in HK anymore; B) no longer military; C) not in surveillance; D) able to afford this gin-and-tonic in front of me. I hope HK makes a buncha US government dorks very uncomfortable. Don’t get me wrong, I still respect the oath I took but somebody in the guvamint needs a reality check.
