A sensation as if I embarked upon a project, and then … finished it!
When it comes to work on the Lair, it really is something I don’t do often: Just pick a project and do it until it’s done. I got halfway through the floor insulation last week, and the worst half at that, before my migraine or whatever it was laid me down for a few days. It’s only been in the past couple of days that I’ve really felt completely well again. My great fear was that this would be yet another job the lazy old man got halfway through, then never quite finished. But this morning I decided that whatever else happened I was going to finish that one job.
Project finished! Big obnoxious sheets of styrofoam gone! Got an early start so I could get through it before it got too hot and/or the wind started blowing the foam around. LB kept me company under the Lair and seemed to find it bewildering but not completely unpleasant. What is Daddy doing? It almost looks like work, but Daddy never does that.
And as if to reward me for my lack of sloth, no sooner had I cleaned up the little pieces than the wind came up.
