Healthcare.fail: Those dastardly republicans did it. The bastards.

Well, then. If it wasn’t an “ideal atmosphere,” I suppose totalfailure.gov is perfectly excusable.

How long ago did the progressives shove that law through? Yesterday? Last month? I seem to recall it was back in 2010, which others might be forgiven for thinking was plenty of advance time. And how much money went down the development rat hole? Nobody seems to know, but the lowest figure I’ve seen was a quarter billion dollars – just for the software that doesn’t work.

Yet somehow a couple of congresscritters brought it all crashing down? How?

This seems to be the go-to excuse that the admin has settled on for the failure: The republicans did it. I’m not sure how many people are prepared to believe they’re quite that capable.

Yeah, and my tummy hurt with laughing at the idea they’re going to get it all fixed in five weeks.

Hmmm, ok… then what? People are already pretty pissed about it, on all sides of the political spectrum. The more they see, the madder they’ll get.

Say, maybe that’s why the website doesn’t work. An accident? Nope. I don’t think so.

The number being tossed around for just the prime contractor is 678 megabucks. So far.

But three years to prep? Meh. The post awful has had 238 years, and still can’t reliably deliver mail. By fed standards (or lack thereof) this clusterf— really is just a glitch. But then feddie standards allow for the deaths of half a million kids as acceptable; of course they’re the ones to run healthcare.

Sitting here in Britain, I find it really quite reassuring that:

Even with three years and however much money, the computer systems a) don’t work and b) are full of copyrighted software which wasn’t paid for

I don’t agree with IP, but as Alinsky said; “Make them live by their own rules”

and if Sebelius’ words are taken at face value, then the police state is easily thwarted by a couple of individuals…

I don’t take Sebelius at face value, but I do take comfort from the fact that all those lists that my name is likely to be on (for comments like this) are likely to be equally un reliable. :^)

Those dammed East Asians! This is EXACTLY why we have ALWAYS been at war with East Asia!

I heard a comment on the radio today that could offer some explaination of the clusterf$^&. Supposedly the developers were given no specifications to work with until after the 2012 election so that Romney and the Reps wouldn’t have any specifics to use in their campaigns. Who knows.

  6. Son of Ron says:

Yep, I did it. I stopped Obamacare from my sekrit forest of solitude.

I am glad I did it.

I am going to keep doing it, until all the bad government people stop setting up mean death panels, and stuff.

Us republicans are tricky like that.

Clearly you are evil. You want all Americans to die without health care, which our beloved leader yearns to give them.
