After writing what I did about primers and tweaking cartridge cases and wax bullets last night, I woke this morning with the thought of something that really shouldn’t have remained unsaid.
I used wax bullets for practice in getting off my first shot from the holster. This was many years ago when I was single, so I survived the first experience.
I was warned that the technique required a bullet trap. But I figured, what the hell? It’s a wax bullet. There’s no powder charge. What could go wrong?
So I just taped a bullseye target to my closet door, paced off six feet, and let fly. I figured I’d be lucky if the bullets marked the target.
I then proceeded to blow a hole through my closet door.
Just saying.

More importantly, did you hit your target? BTW, I woulda thought the same as you; No powder, no problem.
Good to know.
Well, that door needed a peep hole anyway – you never know if a homicidal maniac is lurking inside . . . :^) Thanks for the lesson and glad nothing (except your pride) was hurt.
