The voting is not going the way I’m sure those who did the proposing would have wished. 613 for/38368 against, as of this posting.
Which probably doesn’t mean anything other than that gun owners are more likely to follow a link and click a button. So follow and click, if you want to. 🙂
H/T to Codrea.

Just a little curious why anyone would think the question had anything to do with “intelligent” debate?” I won’t argue with such people anymore. When cornered… I ask them if they own their lives and bodies. If they say yes, I ask if they don’t fully expect to defend that life any way necessary, including guns. If they say no, then I ask where their collar and leash are, since they must be someone else’s property and shouldn’t be running around loose. If they say yes they own themselves, but no they should not have a gun… I just call them liars. No, I don’t make a lot of new friends that way. sigh
And the “constitution” or what the “founders” said, wanted or wrote is absolutely immaterial to the question of self ownership. The natural and inherent right of all living things is defense of their lives, and predates the silly parchment by as long as living beings have inhabited the earth.
They might as well ask whether breathing air has become outdated and should be replaced with breathing water.
“Today, the U.S. has a standing army and a well-trained police force that provide for our security and protection.” – I had a good laugh at that one.
It depends on what the meaning of “our” is. 🙂
Just voted and there are another 8000 (approx) against votes since this was posted yesterday.
Don’t worry, all. It will only be a matter of time before right-thinking adults arrive and tell us all that the survey is meaningless…clearly a one-time manifestation of Pure Sour Grapes Syndrome by those nasty, vengeful, icky-ooey gun freaks.
Remember? Just like Gun Geo Marker.
