I’m an amputee, which means I’m dependent on certain textile products you can’t pick from a juniper bush. And thanks to the wonders of the insurance/health industry complex, they’re all absurdly expensive for what you get. When I blow out a nylon prosthetic sheath, it’s a terrible start to the day.
I normally get by on a variety of workarounds, but there’s nothing like the real thing. And once in a blue moon I get some benefit from having a friend who has a friend who’s a prosthetist who (I presume) can write off donating old stock or damaged packages. So thanks very much to S&L, who went to the trouble of bringing me half a dozen new sheaths! Seriously, you wouldn’t even believe the price of these things.

You sure do have the darndest cool friends!
I do, indeed.
