A picture is worth…

There’s a photo been making the rounds…tiffanyglock…a shiny Glock done up to be reminiscent of Tiffany stuff. I think it’s ugly as hell, which is ironic coming from a Glock which emerges from the factory like unto a mud wall. On the other hand I approve of the concept very very much, for reasons I’ve detailed elsewhere.

Naturally there are some folks for whom lightening up just isn’t gonna happen. I came upon this essay this morning, in which the writer goes all existentially Second-Amendment on an anti-gunner who objected to the Tiffany object:

During a recent exchange on a famous social media website, I posted a photo of a Glock pistol decked out to match the famous Tiffany and Co. colors. My comment was, “Ladies, it’s almost St. Valentine’s Day.”

A liberal friend of mine posted the following retort: “And I’m sure this is exactly what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they worked for the passage of the Second Amendment…”

His reported retort to the liberal retort went on at some length. When I read the question, I just thought “As a matter of fact, it is!”italian_triplebarrel_flintlock

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, male or female. 🙂 I have zero use for rings, necklaces or earbobs. My jewelry consists of a .357 revolver, a 9mm, .45 semiauto… etc.

The inalienable authority of every individual to defend themselves by any means necessary predates the 2A by as long as humans have existed, but yeah, I suspect that the guys who wrote the BOR understood that as well as anything.

One little hint for the Valentine gift… if you are going to give a lady a gun, make it a gift certificate and let her pick it out. Beauty, as well as fit and style, is in the eye of the beholder. She might love what her gentleman picks out, of course… but then again, she may not. And the big question is, would she carry it?
