That’s all yesterday morning’s hard work filling in with silt yesterday afternoon.
This morning’s work: Digging it out again. As of 9 AM this morning I am just a little behind where I was at 9 AM yesterday morning.
Now I have to go scrape up mud and half-melted horse shit. Tired of Monsoon now.

Man I am so ready for it to be over for the year.I have ddug out 4 times so far,,UGH,and looks like more over the weekend
So whatever happened to the Gulchendiggensmoothen? Wouldn’t that make fairly short work of digging this trench?
Joel, you had the right idea with the rocks. I think the trick is to use A LOT more. The key is to not only re-direct the water, but to slow it down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nW1jcY3OtM8
It could, if I could get it in there. Narrow space, steep slope, have to cross a septic line. More trouble than it’s worth, I’m afraid. There are advantages to those little Nipponese tractors with the cute’n’tiny backhoes.
