In the gun-free paradise of Chicago, something contrary to the accepted narrative continues to occur…

Seven people were shot to death and 30 more were wounded across Chicago over the weekend, raising the number of shootings in the city to more than 100 in just over a week into the new year, according to police.

This is, of course impossible. Virtually all these shootings are committed with handguns, virtually all handguns are illegal in Rahm and Barack’s Excellent Utopia, and apparently the cops really do work on making that known…

And yet it keeps happening. Making guns in Chicago even illegaler is unlikely to accomplish anything, but police spokesmen have a solution! Can you guess what it is? Class?

That’s right! It’s all those other people who have guns, providing a continuous supply that makes Chicago’s gun laws pretty much moot. Therefore, since criminals in Chicago continue to ignore anti-gun laws year after year, the only answer is to make criminals of the rest of us who haven’t done anything wrong. Outlaw guns in all of Illinois. When that fails to work, outlaw guns in the whole nation! Invade Central and South America and stamp out guns there! Seek and destroy cottage-industry gun factories! Carpet bomb the middle east and Africa and eastern Europe to stop the flow of rusty AKs! Create a desert and call it peace! If you can.

Only this way can we be happy!

Or, you could ask yourself why Chicago has so damned many murderous gangbangers.

After all, if guns are the problem and the whole rest of the country is so awash with guns that sheer market pressure keeps driving them into Chicago on their own, you’d think everywhere else would have been completely depopulated decades ago. And yet the violence keeps concentrating in Chicago, where people supposedly have to go to extremes to even acquire guns with which to kill one another. Curious.
