Boy, the poor guy can’t win.

A few days ago Obama made news by landing in Phoenix and not going to that infamous VA hospital. Today he’s all over the news for not going to Paris.NYDailyNews
I only want to say, “Mr. Obama, you can stay away from me all you like, and I promise not to get mad about it.”

Oh yes… and I think that staying away is probably one of the nicest things he’s done in quite a while. Keep it up, Mr. President.

As bad as it looks in the international press, this is one of those rare cases where I may have made the same decision as the Prez.

I don’t think there was ever any contemplation of Obama going himself, nor should there have been. There simply was no time for the advance work.

Things looked very unsafe in France for a few days. So the white house was probably leery about tempting fate by providing France’s crazys with a new high-value target.

Did you see the President’s comment about the Republicans being so interested in going after Bohner that they had left him alone for a bit?

He said something about “orange really is the new black,” (indicating John Bohner’s predilection to using that awful, orangey fake tan stuff that makes him look, well, orange.)

It was a fantastic insult. I mean, if we were doing one of those rap-battle things at the national level, that would have been worth a mic drop and he would have won, hands down.

It’s just too bad he’s the President of the United States instead of a high schooler trying to earn “cool points” from his peers. I mean, otherwise, it wouldn’t have been nearly so embarrassing and sad…
