I see from Thirdpower (lots of links) that, after months of anguish and angst as the Illinois legislature tried to hammer out a concealed carry law that wouldn’t be so painful as to cause them all to shoot themselves in the head with a military/LEO only firearm, Governor Quinn of Illinois waited till a week before the deadline and then sent back a completely different draft by way of a veto?
Can he do that? Illinois has strange laws.

Yah, as a translplant from Illinois to cheeseland, I found myself yelling bad things about the guvna as I read the paper. I hope (but seriously doubt) that I can someday cross the state line without disarming. One can hope…
