There’s big news on the M’s Dome front, and I wanted to show you but I can’t. The software in Claire’s old faithful digital camera seems to have taken a dump. Or maybe there really is something wrong with the lens mechanism, which is what usually kills zoom cameras out here, due to the dust. It keeps saying “lens error” and shutting itself off, though as far as I can see the lens is working fine. Claire, I swear I wasn’t carrying it in my pocket.
What really tics me off about this is: A) I need to be documenting the covering of M’s Dome, and B) I was just in a dollar store yesterday, discussing the purchase of a $10 back-up camera (without that always-doomed zoom lens), and then I didn’t buy the camera.
Anyway, the good news is that the professionals have arrived, and that M’s Dome is already far further on its way to becoming M’s Earth-Bermed House in a single day than in over a year of my ineffectual poking and whining.
But you’re going to have to take my word for it I’m afraid.
