Chicago (AFP) – A white police officer plans to sue the estate of a black teenager he shot dead because he was traumatized by the fact that he accidentally killed the teen’s neighbor in the incident, his lawyer said.
“The damage is my client feels horrible that Bettie Jones is dead because of the actions he was forced to take,” attorney Joe Brodsky told AFP.
No, that’s not satire. Satire is dead or dying in another room somewhere, kicked in the kidneys by reality one too many times. Seriously, though, who wouldn’t want to be Rahm Emanuel right about now?

Actually, if you cause someone else to die as a result of your actions (let’s say you’re brandishing a baseball bat at me and while I engage you I accidentally kill a bystander) then you are liable for the murder of that individual. So I empathize with the officer.
Of course his family say’s he “dindu nuffin'”, even though his father was the one who called the police on him.

The media may be getting a bit uncomfortable. They publicize the officers name, so wouldn’t they be responsible for the hate mail – late night phone calls – dirty looks from the population ? Could Channel Six also be held responsible for some of the cause of Occiffer Friendly’s poor mental state ?
