Here’s something you don’t see every day…

I’m told he’ll pull two people in a cart all day long. We’ll see, I guess. The cart’s due to arrive later today.

About Joel

You shouldn't ask these questions of a paranoid recluse, you know.

Less poop to scoop…a threat to job security? Damnit, everybody’s downsizing.

An intriguing metaphor for less gov’t.

  2. MamaLiberty says:

No, Jay… the silly animal is only eating the bits of hay it can pull out of the poop. Not good, but I don’t have to worry about the aftertaste personally, so who cares? 🙂

But I do hope nobody buys that ” pull a cart all day” idea. Not possible with any animal. It couldn’t walk “all day” totally unburdened without stopping for significant rest periods.

  3. Joel says:

Actually, Jay, since H is currently down to 2.5 horses she did want to discuss my weekly rate. 🙁

And nobody’s likely to work the little thing “all day.” I’m sure it’s just an expression.

  4. Jay says:

Mama, I wasn’t talking about what it’s nosing about in, I’m talking about just what Joel is experiencing…less horse, less poop.

Bummer, Joel. On the upside, winter’s coming, time to start thinking about those all important inside hobbies. Chasing Zoe, baking bread, throwing books at Zoe, making big pots of stew, screaming at Zoe, reading, shooting Zoe, cleaning your guns…

Wow, are you going to be busy this winter!

  5. Bear says:

I’m just not sure I see the utility of that critter (equine-type, not feline-type) unless you’ve got a colony of hobbits moving into the area.

    Unless we’re still talking steak.

My next door neighbors had 8 of them for years. They never did anything with them except feed them and clean up after them. Just last week they ended up giving them away for free.
