I never know what people will find interesting.

For several days somebody, or lots of somebodies, have been obsessively typing variations of “thoughts on independence day” into various search engines. It only leads them to this post, which in turn is only a link to a Claire post. There’s not much of a there there, but it goes on day after day.

I don’t mind or anything, but it is confusing.

An unemployed obsessive/compulsive with a fix on this article? Maybe one of the NSA snoopers has gone around the bend badly and none of his peers have noticed it yet? The world is a strange (and sometimes scary) place.

I enjoy looking at site stats sometimes. Lots of weird things… Once in a while really scary.

Gotta wonder if there’s some autonomous program doing a slow keyword-based crawl through the search engines. Perhaps doing a text analysis of the pages it takes them to. Maybe I’m paranoid but that screams Big Gov.
